Carl and Ryan discuss...something. Seriously, its a rambling show. With no to little point. But they had a good time doing it.

Health update
So, I went to the doctor again today. After 3 days of antibiotics, my health has not improved. In fact, it got worse. My ear infection, which was isolated in my right ear before, is now confirmed to have spread into both ears. My doctor gave me a different prescription for a more powerful antibiotic which I started today. He also gave me another script for vicodin, which means I now have enough to take it every 4 hours like I have been needing to lately.
I haven't been able to get much of anything done on my time off. With both ears being completely plugged, it's hard for me to watch TV without turning the home theater system up to eleven. I don't have the focus, strength or the will to play much more than simple little puzzle games. And you might as well forget music, yesterday everything sounded like a tremolo pedal.
I am honestly not sure when I am going to get back to work and I'm already in trouble for attendance. With a doctor's note I should be fine, but it's going to be rough. Not to mention I am now officially out of sick time. So I have already taken two full days without pay and any other days I miss will be out of pocket as well. Luckily, I am not hurting for money so this isn't an issue so much as an inconvenience. I'm hoping to get all rested up and ready for the Watchmen release this coming week. To say I'm excited is an understatement...

Status Update and more info on KBP Radio
First off, my infection has spread to my other ear. I am on antibiotics and the right ear is getting better, but the left ear seems to have gotten worse for a spell and is now just being a general pain in the ass. I am in a lot of pain and sometimes even the vicodin is not enough to do more than just take the edge off. I'm hoping to be back on my feet by this weekend, but it's not looking good... Thanks to everyone that has sent me well wishes.
Second off, I wanted to start sharing some details about the music show I mentioned earlier. Everyone I have shared it with thinks it might be fun and right now I am trying to talk Ryan into being involved some.
Basically, I have been listening to KEXP (thanks Ed) and my childhood dream of being a DJ has kind of snuck back up on me. What I am looking to do is a 30-60 minute show where I play music and just talk a little bit between ever few songs. Nothing special, just a radio broadcast with maybe a weekly theme or a common tone. Each show would only have one host, but I would like to get Ryan to share hosting duties with me. I am currently fellating him in attempts to get him to do it at least from time to time.
This show would be rather independent of Kneel Before Pod, but would never take priority over it. So you'll never have to worry about this causing you to miss out on an episode of KBP.
So that's it in a nutshell.

And now...
The bad news.
Since I've buttered you up with three (3!) posts in one week, I figure now is the time to drop the bomb on all of you.
There won't be a show this week.
I know, New Year's Resolutions and all that. We just took a break. Last week was kind of a clusterfuck. But we have a good reason.
Carl is seriously sick. He's been to the ER. There is blood coming out of his ears. Yeah. That bad.
And while a Vicodin-doped Carl would make for a fantastic show, I think, he's not feeling up to it. I don't blame him, honestly.
We'll be back next week, though, with our Watchmen show, and hopefully a bonus that we're both pretty excited about. Not much time to hype the 'men before they come out, I know, but just because a lame doesn't see it on opening day doesn't mean they won't see it at all.
No promises, because we don't like to break them. But trust us. We'll make good.

A little update.
So, I came down with some nasty thing. It's like a cold on angel dust. It's just rampaging through my head and chest. Needless to say, I have missed two days of work already. I think if I miss a third I will be required to bring in a Doctor's note. So I am trying to get all rested up so I can go back tomorrow and avoid an office visit.
Now, onto some stuff you might actually care about. I got my new computer this week. It's super nice and is so much better than my old one. Where as I used to lag in Capital cities in World of Warcraft with the most basic settings, I can now run through the busiest cities with ease on the high performance graphic settings. I have yet to try anything to taxing on the system, but so far I am really happy.
I have also received my T-Mobile G1 equipped with Google's Android cell phone OS. I don't think I have ever been this happy with a purchase. It is more than a phone. It's a planner, email device and then the apps that are available for no additional cost? Brilliant. A full review will be coming later, when I am feeling up to it.

Sickness overtakes me...
So much like the denizens of Azeroth, I have been afflicted by some strange plague. If I am not turned into a zombie by morrow's light, I will try to get some sort of content up before this weeks show.
But serious, shit be nasty since Friday.
